Squarespace Developer

Devonstank.com, Harrisburg, PA, March 2016 – Present

Just like a Squarespace Specialist, I'm an expert with all things Squarespace. The goal in mind is to provide small businesses as well as recently established startups with well-thought websites that convey their unique brand or product. I'm able to deliver a top-notch user experience that doesn't lack in the care that I provide to my customers. All projects are built in the Squarespace platform that fully utilizes their JSON API, and is extensively modified. Primary code utilization includes HTML5, CSS3, Less, Javascript, and Git.

Front-end Rails Developer

ePublishing, Chicago, IL, May 2014 – February 2016

Worked remotely in a disciplined environment. Developed large-scale publication websites for publishers who are trying to create a unique online presence and a better user experience for their audience. Built projects on a strict 3 - 4 month deadline exercising Ruby on Rails. Every build utilized RoR, Git, Sass, BEM Methodology, and RequireJS as standards as well as all projects being run in an Agile environment. 

Front-end Developer

Andculture, Harrisburg, PA, February 2013 – February 2014

Was assigned to large-scale projects where the design was the primary emphasis. Worked on projects ranging from small, 2-man WordPress builds to 7-man sites utilizing Ruby on Rails. Used the Agile Methodology, Git for Version Control, and Sass on all projects. Presented creative solutions to large-scale design challenges from clients. Built eCommerce experience using Shopify. Helped bridge departmental gaps and acquired new skillsets by collaborating closely with development during projects. Primary code utilization included HTML5, CSS3, Sass, Javascript, and Git.

Lead Web Developer

MLB Advertising, Wilkes-Barre, PA, August 2011 – February 2013

Acted as Project Manager and Lead Developer for all web design projects. Worked closely with the Creative Director and Marketing Manager to coordinate timelines and develop project strategies. Organized all web design operations and mentored a growing team of developers. Managed small and large-scale projects and acted as the primary point of contact for all customers, making sure expectations were surpassed and timelines were met. Experienced in programming, debugging, and problem-solving across a variety of open-source platforms.

Web Developer and Graphic Designer

InsuranceNewsNet, Camp Hill, PA, March 2008 – February 2011

Managed and designed in-house websites and other media for clients. Enhanced my ability to work with PHP and WordPress through employment at InsuranceNewsNet and acted as a graphic designer for our monthly insurance news magazine. InsuranceNewNet Magazine is currently one of the leading insurance magazines in the country with 50,000+ subscribers.

Handled all web design for 50+ clients. Created all web base e-mail designs and marketing designs such as postcards, web banners, flyers, and anything else at the client’s request.
