Moving Feet

Today I'm putting myself on a path to better my health physically and mentally. It seems I've reached that part in my life where not caring what I eat has caught up with me.

I first saw a notice physically and mentally back in 2012 while I was living in the Wilkes-Barre area. During this time I was constantly frustrated from work and taking my stress home with me. On top of that, I was eating like shit and wasn't active as much as I should have.

I have since then learned to better control my stress and not bring work home with me anymore. My career has taken quite a turn in the right direction this past year and a half. Having worked at Andculture for a year and now working for an amazing company that lets me work with Ruby on Rails 100% of the time as well as work from home. These career opportunities have changed a lot of who I am and who I want to be. Aside from better managing my stress and being happy in my career I've also found someone in my life that I truly love and care for and has been the biggest impact in my life in the past year.

So with all that said I need to get my ass in gear and start getting myself in shape again. This doesn't just mean I'll be running and working out but also changing how I eat and look at myself in the future. My goal is to lose 20 lbs over the next few months and hoping that this blog can help me stay on track to reach or even surpass my goal. I plan to post progress of myself every other week.
